DONE AND DONE! Finally, I got the nerve to get my very first extreme haircut.
I made my way downtown Toronto,Ontario to Urban textures. I found out about this place through one of my closets friends. They do amazing hair there! AMAZING! (www.urbantextures.com). I walk in and I'm nervous...obviously I'm nervous.. its my first cut EVER in 24 years. I meet the gentleman who will be responsible for the removal of all my hair :0( lol..After meeting Mr. Christian I knew he was special because I no longer felt nervous about what I was about to do. He had this vibe about him that made me feel like he was going to take GREAT care of me :0) After washing my hair, and sitting under the dryer, he picked up the scissors (those things can be so scary!). I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and SNIP! SNIP SNIP SNIIIPPPPP. I opened my eyes and looked down, watching all the hair that I had grown for years just fall down to the ground effortlessly. Did I cry you might ask...Nope, because when I looked up into the mirror, I couldn't have been more pleased. It was perfect. It was soooooooooo relieving to FINALLY come from under all that hair that I've always wanted to cut but never did just to please everyone else. It felt relieving to finally do something for ME :0) This blog is to celebrate something I've wanted to do for so long and to celebrate me making me happy for a change FINALLY! Thank you Christian for easying my nerves and taking me through such a big step in life for me! You were the perfect person for this transition.
